Call Of Duty 2022 Is Officially ‘Modern Warfare II’ From Infinity Ward

Infinity Ward has revealed its new Call of Duty logo for 2022’s game and yep, you guessed it, it’s Modern Warfare II. We already had confirmation that it’d be a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but neither Infinity Ward nor Activision had given the upcoming game a proper title.

Well, as you all waited with baited breath for the name, here it is. Yeah, it’s not particularly surprising is it? Modern Warfare was a massive hit back in 2019, and following Vanguard’s disappointing reception, Activision will no-doubt be glad to return to its ever-popular subseries.

What we’re interested in though, is the Xbox-Activision Blizzard merge. If that all goes through before this Call of Duty releases — and that’s looking increasingly likely — it could very well end up on Xbox Game Pass day one. Expect Modern Warfare II to launch this October or November because… yeah, it’s a Call of Duty game.

What do you make of this? Excited for another Modern Warfare? Let us know in the comments!
