2022 is nearing its end but not before it provides us with some excellent new games. Check out the best games releasing before the end of the year.

2022 has seen the release of many excellent games such as Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and more. Even indie games have had tremendous success this year with Annapurna Interactive’s Stray receiving high praise despite being a simple cat game. Although the year is all set to end, it does not mean that there will be no further releases until next year. In fact, the ending months of 2022 will see the release of some highly anticipated games from now, till the end of the year. So, check out the best games releasing before the end of the year.

1. Gotham Knights – October 21 (Xbox Series X, Series S, PlayStation 5, PC)

Batman is dead, and the city of Gotham is plunging into chaos. Who better to protect the city in the aftermath of the demise of the caped crusader other than his trusted knights. Play as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood, and protect Gotham and its citizens from an old mystical enemy which threatens to destroy the city and everything Batman stood for.

2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – October 28 (Xbox Series X, Series S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC)

Sharing the name with the hugely successful 2009 game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. You as a player are dropped into global conflict as part of the iconic Operators of Task Force 141. It is classic Call of Duty, need we say anything more?

3. Sonic Frontiers – November 8 (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S, PC)

Sonic, Tails and Amy Rose have separated when falling through a wormhole. You, as Sonic the Hedgehog, explore the mysterious Starfall Islands to collect the Chaos Emeralds and make the treacherous journey to find your friends.

4. God of War Ragnarök – November 9 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4)

Kratos, along with his son Atreus travel to all the nine realms in search of answers and allies as they prepare to face the Asgardian forces in an end-of-the-world battle. Will this be the end of the Ghost of Sparta and the God of War or would they manage to survive against the Mighty Thor?

5. The Callisto Protocol – December 2 (Xbox Series X, Series S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC)

This upcoming survival horror from Glen Schofield, creator of the Dead Space series is sure to send shivers down your spine as you explore the Moon base after an unknown and mysterious outbreak. Up against bloodthirsty creatures which roam the station, this will be the fight of your life
