Even though Masahiro Sakurai is most famous for developing games like Kirby Super Star and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo consoles, he’s also known to be an avid gamer that plays games on Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony consoles.
Funnily enough, Sakurai at one point praised the PlayStation 5 in one of his Famitsu Column write ups. He had also encouraged fans to play Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox One during his “Mr. Sakurai presents Banjo & Kazooie” stream, a Nintendo presentation.
Indeed, Masahiro Sakurai has plenty of experience playing games that aren’t just exclusive to Nintendo consoles. This obviously means that he’ll need a number of controllers readily available for each console.
Sakurai recently gave fans a glimpse into how many controllers he has with an image posted on Twitter. It’s here that we can see controllers for the Nintendo Wii, the Wii U, the Switch, the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 5, the Xbox One, the Xbox 360, and more.
Within the image, there were over 70 different controllers shown. In his Tweet, Sakurai even mentioned that he was able to find about 10 more controllers after taking the photo.
Sakurai even mentioned in a follow up Tweet that he had plenty of controllers for older consoles, mini controllers, and sticks stored elsewhere. Needless to say, it sounds like Sakurai is prepared to play any game on any console.
