Sony ready to move on from PS4 in favor of PS5 – making the transition to current-gen

Well, you wouldn’t have to worry as Sony is not totally abandoning PS4, it’s still holding on to it but seems like the company has decided to look forward to the next generation of gaming.

PlayStation 4 was released in 2013 and has continued to receive new exclusives from Sony, even if those old-gen ports feel outdated. Similarly, PlayStation 5 was released on November 12, 2020. The last Sony exclusives like – Horizon, Forbidden West, and God of War: Ragnarok released both on PS4 &PS5 which showed that Sony was still supporting the era of cross-gen gaming into 2023 and has always believed in “generations”.

This was finally seen changed when PlayStation released a new trailer on January 16, 2023.

In the trailer, a montage of 23 games was shown which will be coming in 2023. But only 8 of them are coming to both PS4 & PS5 rest all will be coming in PS5.
